Located strategically minutes from Cary, Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill. Xtreme Adventures Camp is the perfect place for your kids this summer. The camp involves an array of activities that challenge them mentally and physically. Your child will be in constant contact with nature breathing pure air and enjoying outdoors. Best of all they will have a blast guaranteed!

Camp Directors

Sarah Draffin

Sarah Draffin has worked with children and students in many capacities for most of her life; including planning and facilitating trips through the Discovery Education Center at UNCW, co-designing an outdoor adventure camp for the YWCA of the Lower Cape Fear, and working as an Outdoor Educator with YMCA Storer Camps. Most recently, Sarah has ten years of experience as an educator with North Carolina Public Schools. She has a degree in Parks and Recreation Management from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a Master of Library Science from East Carolina University. Sarah is currently a School Library Media Coordinator and Digital Learning Coach with Vance County Schools. She and her husband Pat have two daughters.

Patrick Draffin

Pat Draffin grew up playing in the woods and fields near his home in rural NC, and outside is still one of his favorite places to be. He loves sharing his passion for the outdoors with youth; he has directed summer camps and afterschool programs for the public school system, the YWCA, and the YMCA, and he has taught school. Pat’s accomplishments include creating a racial diversity training curriculum that is now used nationally, co-designing an outdoor adventure camp, and working as an Outdoor Educator with YMCA Storer Camps. He has a degree in Communications from UNCW, is a registered storyteller with the North Carolina Folklife Institute, and is currently the General Manager of Xtreme Park Adventures. He lives with his wife and two daughters near Kerr Lake.
